Faith motivates movement in the direction of those things we know God is calling us to. By faith we prepare and work in agreement with the promise. We begin to change our attitude,
and confession because what is to be becomes our actions of today so that it is realized tomorrow. Farmers don’t plant when they feel like it. They plant in season in order to reap in season. They will however plant when they don’t feel like it because it’s not about feelings it’s about knowing. Faith is about knowing. Knowing God is calling us to do something is our motivation to change. When you know, you don’t stop preparing. When you know, you keep motivation alive and work regardless of what you see or how you feel because you are expecting.
“Faith motivated Abraham to obey God’s call and leave the familiar “
We may have to leave the familiar and press ourselves into unknown territory. We may have to begin to learn something new. We may have to change a lot of things in order to inherit the promises God has spoken. We may have to be patient with the process or we may have to act quickly. We may have to change something immediately only to find it moved us in position to possess what will be years in the making. Wether we see things promised now or in our future, faith is our motivation. The vision, the promise, what God has spoken, that is our motivator.
Faith motivated Abraham to obey God’s call and leave the familiar to discover the territory he was destined to inherit from God. So he left with only a promise and without even knowing ahead of time where he was going, Abraham stepped out in faith.
Hebrews 11:8 (TPT)
Faith is substance! It’s the foundation of what we hope for and build upon. Faith is the evidence. Faith is what’s required to acquire.
ev·i·dence
the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid.
Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.
Hebrews 11:1 (TPT)
faith brings our hopes into reality. Sometimes we just have to reach into heaven and pull into existence the reality of what is to be. The tenacity to believe is the hope of our future. We may have to move into unknown territory for ourselves in order to possess what lies ahead. Faith can move mountains.
God will give us things but it is faith that allows us access to them.
