🚨Calling out the greatness in you! ‼️
The struggle of a butterfly to free itself from its cocoon is truly remarkable. The transformation from caterpillar to butterfly during this critical time is equally fascinating. Inside the cocoon, the caterpillar undergoes a profound metamorphosis, digesting itself in the process. It loses much of its former identity, with only the cells that hold its true essence remaining to grow into the magnificent creature it is destined to become. Some studies suggest that tiny, translucent wings and other parts can be detected in the caterpillar even before it enters this transformative phase. The caterpillar already possesses the potential of what it will become; it simply must navigate this process of digestion, transformation, and revelation.
Many of us undergo a similar journey in life. Deep within us, we hold translucent traces of who we are meant to be, and often it takes challenging moments to reveal our true nature—the beautiful creation we are destined to become. We all experience moments of “digesting ourselves,” those times when we look inward and confront the tough questions about our purpose on this earth. Our struggles, filled with questioning and reasoning, can lead us to emerge as the authentic children that God intended us to be.
The most profound realization we can arrive at during this journey is that we are special and here for a reason. We each have a unique purpose, and our lives are no accident. God has created each one of us to be exceptional. Embracing this truth is what begins to give us our wings. It is this transformation that allows us to live life at a new level, treating others with kindness and pursuing our dreams with belief and passion.
It’s essential to embrace this understanding in order to live life with enthusiasm, knowing that we have purpose! Our struggles, though often challenging, are what grant us our wings in life. When we allow our struggles to make us better, rather than bitter, and live life by the Spirit, we become beautiful beings capable of soaring to new heights. The psalmist David expressed his understanding of purpose and value beautifully in Psalm 139:14: “I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.”
So today, as you look in the mirror, take a moment to thank God for the incredible person you are. You are fearfully and wonderfully made! Free yourself from the cocoon of negative thinking and recognize that your life truly matters and you have purpose! There is greatness within you that the world needs.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10
Amen! So beautifully put!
